What a day trip is — and is not
On ThaiEleHub, a day trip means you leave your hotel, spend a set window at one sanctuary, and return the same day. It is not an overnight stay and not a show. Feeding, walking and water time happen when the elephants choose them. Bathing is never guaranteed.

Prefer a quieter itinerary over a longer activity list
Half-day is enough for a first visit. Full-day is for travelers who want the extra activity and can handle a longer road day. More activities are not automatically more ethical.
