Your Itinerary
A clear view of the journey from hotel pickup to your return, with each part of the experience paired with real sanctuary moments. Meet your driver at your accommodation and begin the journey in air-conditioned transport. Travel through a rural landscape of mountain rivers, rice fields, corn fields and banana plantations. Arrive at the sanctuary for an introduction, safety briefing and a change into traditional northern clothing. Learn about the elephants, their histories and their natural behavior while feeding and observing them in their habitat. Walk toward the river for elephant-led water time, followed by a gentle health check. Elephants are never forced into the water. Enjoy a local meal, say goodbye to the herd and ride approximately 1.5 hours back to Chiang Mai. Times are approximate, except for the designated pickup window.
